Job Description:

As an Offsites and Utilities Engineer, you will develop capital projects and also have potential broadening assignments into manufacturing sites. Utilities is inclusive of steam generation/distribution, water supply/treating, fuel systems, compress air, power generation, and more. Offsites is inclusive of tankage, pipelines, product movements, flares, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide commissioning and start-up assistance for new or modified facilities
• Provide technical stewardship of engineering contractor’s work during front end engineering and design (FEED) or detailed engineering to ensure consistency with ExxonMobil methods and guidelines
• Assist design team in the development of utilities and offsites design specifications; including but not limited to creating balances, calculations, diagrams, and project documents
• Provides technical support to Operations organization for Utilities or Offsite systems, including process troubleshooting
• Participate in Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP) for new or modified facilities and support of existing plant facilities HAZOP reviews
• Lead and/or perform optimization studies to identify or evaluate capital or operating cost savings, energy assessments, configuration alternatives, safety facilities requirements, and GHG reduction opportunities
• Mentors junior engineering staff; willingness to grow in Offsites and Utilities technical depth

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated design experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Effective interface management skills to help incorporate input from various technical specialties into design deliverables
• Ability to screen, calculate, and develop complex utilities balances and offsites logistics movements
• Ability to deliver high quality design and project development deliverables within schedule and on budget
• B.S. (or higher) degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Willing and able to travel or relocate as required including international
